Wolds Wine Estate – Renewable Heating & Solar Installation
Overview
Wolds Wine Estate is a family-run vineyard located in south Nottinghamshire, established in March 2020. Known for its scenic surroundings and luxury glamping pods, the estate is focused on creating a sustainable and welcoming environment for visitors and guests.
Challenge
As a new-build project with no existing heating infrastructure, the estate required a fully integrated and sustainable energy system. The project was managed in partnership with Frank Gouldings Limited, and the client was looking for a solution that aligned with their environmental values while offering comfort and reliability.
Solutions
Piped Up Ltd designed and installed a 12kW air source heat pump to provide efficient, low-carbon heating via a newly fitted underfloor heating system. To further support the estate’s sustainability goals, we also installed a 12kW solar PV system, reducing reliance on the grid and helping to offset the property’s energy usage.
This combined solution offers year-round comfort and dramatically lowers the estate’s carbon footprint – perfectly suited to a site focused on eco-tourism and responsible land use.
